Changes

The Journey

I have had a little stack of gemstones sitting on my jewelry table for some time now wondering what to do with them. Just like beads I see them as little treasures I've picked up along the way. I took a photo of them and made them my new avatar. Something new for the next step of my journey. When I started this blog I mentioned that I was again following a design path and I was going to see where that journey would go. I've also mentioned that I'd like to start an Etsy store which I have been working on and I am hoping to be opening that in the not to distant future after I get use to where the next part of my journey is going. That next part is...I am going to be traveling! I am very excited about traveling this summer. My husband has driven truck locally for a number of years and recently has gone back over the road and I'm going with him. I can't say exactly where we will be traveling to but I am certain this is going to be the beginning of a new adventure! I will be taking pictures of our journey which I plan to share on my blog and I will be creating jewelry inspired by our adventure. I am looking forward to seeing the sites!

Thank you for visiting...please come back to see where this journey goes!  :)

Organizing

Organizing & Other Things

I was working on doing some organizing today, I came across a necklace and earrings I had made and thought I would post them. I'm trying to get some things together and get an Etsy store started. This necklace is likely one of them I will list when I get that accomplished now that I have more time to focus on my jewelry designing.

Thanks for visiting!  Have a great day!

Choker style necklace made with Hematite seed beads,
fresh water pearls and red wooden disks.

BTW

Bead Table Wednesday!

Below are a couple pictures of a necklace I made from what has been on my bead table for the past few weeks. I was going to try not to use seed beads or pearls because I so often use them in my work. As you can see I used both and I learned a few things in the process. I need to brush up on taking photos and maybe it's time to work on a challenge and see if I can get outside my seed bead and pearl comfort zone.

The necklace is a choker style, antique brass chain with a focal made from a piece of Green Calcite that is wrapped in a Vintaj Diamond Swirl.
The choker is made form glass pearl multi color rondelles,
purple seed beads and Lucite beads.

Thanks for stopping in...Have a great day!

A Big Thank You & BTW!

Thank you so much!

As much as I would like to email everyone and thank them for their kind comments on my bracelet, right now I have some major things going on in my life.  So I am saying Thank You here.  The good news is with the current changes in my life it is going to allow me to spend more time here. One of the changes is that I am going to concentrate on my jewelry design more as a business and I am very much looking forward to that new venture, teaching my class and opening an Etsy store are on the list of things to do. When I started this blog it was my intention to return to the design life I once knew and it is where my journey is taking me.

I am very happy to be here with all of you!

On to BTW....

Here's what is on my bead table today. We will see what it becomes tomorrow - well maybe not tomorrow - but hopefully within the next week :)
