Bead Table Wednesday

Today is Bead Table Wednesday check out what's on everyone's bead table

On my bead table this week are a couple of projects I'm working on, one is for paper beads for an upcoming class I'm teaching. Making paper beads is addictive and a lot of fun so I've been busy making a lot of them lately (see yesterdays post) and the other project is the beginning of a Mandella. I use to make them and I bought some blue, green and brown agates at Bead and Button Show for that project.

Making Progress

Making Progress

It's been a little bit since my last post but I've been making progress. With all that goes on in life I did manage to get some beads made. Below is a picture of the paper beads I've made, they have yet to be coated and then put into an Etsy store. As I was making them I was inspired to make some jewelry too. I've been hesitant to start a store up until now because I am also working on my Masters Degree which can get time consuming. Though with that well under way now seems a good time to start...so look for the store opening announcement in the near future. Until then...I'd love to hear what you think of the beads.

End

The on the road part of my journey is over, we're local again. Which is okay with me it was difficult to work on my jewelry, try to maintain my blog and keep up while on the road. It's okay with my husband too, he is happy to have a local job again. Though it was a short experience it was a good experience. Moving forward my plans are to be here more, create more and get that Etsy store open I keep thinking about doing.

Be back soon! Thanks for visiting! :)

Jamberrysong Challenge - Mystery

Jamberrysong Challenge - Mystery

Jamberrysong is having a challenge each month on her blog. This month the challenge was to create a piece of jewelry from the song Mystery by the Indigo Girls.

I created this necklace using some of my paper beads. I used red paper beads to represent the red sun, blue paper beads for the moon clouded. Yellow paper beads mixed with various colors for summer beginning to give up her fight. Along with various seed beads. The heart and letter were used to represent love.

Here are the links to the participants blogs - Have fun!

Sunset

Sunset

My plan was to take photos and create jewelry from them. However, it is very difficult to take a picture from a moving vehicle, by the time I see something really cool, pick up the camera, it's already passed. I did however manage to capture this beautiful sunset in the Midwest and it immediately inspired me. I needed to figure out how I was going to take this new venture and incorporate it with my jewelry creations. I'm happy to say that is coming together. I'm going to do a little collecting for a while. Collect some photos, along with things I find when we are stopped and see what comes from them.

This past week and these photos helped me to remember what it is I love so much about Mother Nature. The pictures were taken just moments apart, the colors are different and though it is Summer the photos show Fall like colors and are an inspiration for some upcoming Fall jewelry.

A gift from Mother Nature :)

Thank you for visiting!  Have a great week!
